No distortions for today. This will be the bare-faced, no-make-up-look version of my cat portraits. 😉 I am just happy to see this face again.
I picked up el Señor Don Gato late this afternoon. He was still groggy (they had to run additional tests this morning), but recovering well. His bad tooth was out, his blood profile good, the x-rays were all clear, and the swelling in his leg had gone down. As suspected, he had a puncture wound that was infected. You don’t need the CSI to know what happened there. 😝 When we got home, he meowed like crazy and wanted to be let out of his carrier, but I couldn’t do it because he was still wobbly. The other four were scared of this strange cat and hid in the bathroom. He was like Frankenstein’s monster, reeking of unknown substances and wailing like a tormented madman.
I let him out after a while. His limp was gone and his confidence was back. He inspected the apartment like a perfectionist boss who just came from a long break. Is my favorite toy still intact? Is the water bowl full? He looked at every nook and cranny. He approached the others one by one. He hissed. No reaction. It was as if he was drunk and felt no fear. Even Astroboy was puzzled. Who is this creature. *hisssssss*
After about an hour or two, he finally settled down in the basket where I
dump store my shoes. He always did have a shoe fettish. 😝
Welcome back home, Gato! 😘
